Reliable quality every time

Brought this to a tasting and it held its own against bottles twice the price. Clean grain character, gentle sweetness, no rough edges whatsoever. The kind of vodka that makes everyone at the table nod approvingly — unpretentious but genuinely well made.

Good but not great

Decent vodka for the price. The nose is clean — I got the black pepper that the review mentions — but the palate didn't wow me. The Rich and full-bodied is fine but nothing special, and I'd have preferred more character coming through. That said, the Long and warming with lingering caramel is clean enough. Works well in cocktails where you don't need a premium bottle.

Better than expected

Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the black pepper — that part is nice. But the Rich and full-bodied didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the pepper is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.

Not for me

I wanted to like this more than I did. The nose has Complex and layered — salted caramel but on the palate there's a harshness that I wasn't expecting from the review. The Rich and full-bodied described didn't come through for me. The Long and warming with lingering caramel has a burn where I wanted clean warmth. Others clearly rate it highly so it may be personal preference. Won't be buying another bottle though.

World-class distillation on display

You can taste the craft in every sip. The clarity is extraordinary — like drinking liquid crystal. But it's far from boring: there's a gorgeous creamy texture, delicate notes of vanilla and toasted grain, and a finish that goes on and on with gentle warmth. This belongs in the conversation with the very best vodkas in the world.

A real gem

Picked this up after reading the review here and it's everything they said and more. The smoke drew me in from the first pour. On the palate, Rich and full-bodied are elegant rather than aggressive — exactly what you want from a quality vodka. The Long and warming with lingering caramel is clean and inviting. Makes a brilliant Martini and equally good sipped neat. This will be a permanent fixture on my shelf.

Blown away by this vodka

Bought this on the strength of the review here and I'm so glad I did. The toasted bread on the nose are subtle but present, and the palate delivers — Salted toffee with Beautifully crafted single-estate expression. The finish has a savoury mineral edge that proves vodka is far from flavourless. Hats off to Polmos Zyrardow / LVMH — this is exceptional craft. Already on my second bottle.

Belvedere Single Estate Rye: Smogory Forest is outstanding

The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got toasted bread and subtle complexity. On the palate, the Salted toffee is beautifully done, and the a savoury mineral edge. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.

Stunning quality

What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you toasted bread and lovely character, and on the palate it's all about Salted toffee. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with a savoury mineral edge. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.

Beautifully balanced

One of the most well-crafted vodkas I've tasted. The smoke promises quality, and the palate delivers with Salted toffee. Nothing feels harsh or out of place. The pepper ties it all together. I tried it neat, chilled, and in a Moscow Mule — it shines in all three. The rye base gives it a distinctive character. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Disappointing for the price

Bit disappointed. The nose is fine — I got some Complex and layered — salted caramel — but on the palate it's too one-dimensional. At $45, I expect more character. The Long and warming with lingering caramel drops off quickly. The tasting notes in the review didn't match my experience. Might work better in cocktails than neat.

Exceptional smoothness

As someone who's been appreciating quality vodka for years, this is among the finest I've encountered at this price point. On the nose I get toasted bread — let it warm slightly in the glass and the aromas open up. The palate is where it really shines: dark honey with a velvety texture with Salted toffee. Polmos Zyrardow / LVMH has clearly mastered their craft.

Decent everyday vodka

A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has black pepper — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you Beautifully crafted single-estate expression, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The pepper is clean.

Worth every penny

I was reading the tasting notes in the review and thought they sounded too good to be true for a vodka, but they're accurate. The toasted bread is genuinely there, the Beautifully crafted single-estate expression delivers, and the a savoury mineral edge is exactly as described. Served this at a tasting with friends last weekend — everyone was surprised how much character it has. We did a blind comparison against two other brands and this won hands down.

Solid middle-of-the-road

It's a solid vodka. The nose has black pepper and toasted bread, but on the palate the Beautifully crafted single-estate expression doesn't quite deliver the complexity I was hoping for. The a savoury mineral edge is a bit brief. Still enjoyable though — I keep reaching for it when making cocktails rather than sipping neat.

Pleasant enough

I can see why people rate this but it's not quite my favourite. The black pepper is clean — really approachable — but the palate is a touch too neutral for my preferences. The Beautifully crafted single-estate expression is smooth and easy, which makes it good for vodka newcomers. I was expecting a bit more character given the editorial score.
